Ohio State Buckeyes (11-2, 7-1 in 2007, 1st place in Big 10)

Last year was meant to be a rebuilding year for the Buckeyes, but they surpassed all expectations and not only won the Big 10 for the second straight year, but also made their second straight BCS national championship game appearance despite losing Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith. Once again Ohio State is expected to win the Big 10 and make another run at the BCS national championship.

Chalkdust Torture

Oh what a night on the basepaths!!! Sportsbettors around the world either made a killing, or they got killed. The amount of chalk on Tuesdays MLB slate was enough to make you choke. Philly with Blanton -240, you gotta be kidding me!! The Redbirds -240 with Looper, holy ****!!! The Cubbies -300; we could have probably saw a -400 hung there and still understood why. Chicago's flat out MONEY in their own house!!!

MLB's 3 Hottest $$$-Makers

1) Houston Astros (59-59) (8-2 L/10 +$767.00) The Astros find themselves at the top of the heap after churning out victories in eight of their L/10 overall to reel in close to $800 for MLB bettors. Houston’s been one of the better clubs since the All Star break compiling an impressive 15-8 SU mark, but still finds itself 12-games in back of the Chicago Cubs for the top spot in the NL Central. If not for a very poor first half of the season, they could be competing with the Milwaukee Brewers and St. Louis Cardinals for division supremacy.

The Forgotten Man

The 2008 Chicago Cubs are in the midst of a memorable season that fans of the club won’t soon forget. They currently sit a National League best (71-47) and sit atop the NL Central by four-games over the Milwaukee Brewers and seven-games ahead of the St. Louis Cardinals whom they just took two of three from at Wrigley this past weekend. On top of that, they’ve made their betting backers $1200+ on the season but that’s not what this blog entry’s is about.

What it is about is the efforts of Cubs starter Ryan Dempster who’s been nothing short of a godsend for the club this season.

QB Breakdown - Colts/Skins Hall of Fame Game

QB Jim Sorgi looked great throughout his effort completing 7-of-10 passes for 66 yards leading the Colts to their first FG of the game. He's now in his 5th season with the Colts and displayed a firm understanding of what the Colts are trying to do on offense. He's no #18, but the kid moved the Colts seamlessly down the field leading me to believe he could help Colts backers cash their tickets in their four remaining NFLX games.

NFLX Head Coach Breakdown

It’s here people!!! The phenomenon otherwise known as the season of the pigskin has arrived allowing sportsbettors and football handicappers to sink their teeth into something different than a baseball for the first time all season.

The first game of the NFL pre-season kicks off this Sunday night when the Indianapolis Colts and Washington Redskins lock horns in the Hall of Fame game in Canton, OH. The Redskins currently sit as six-point favorites with the ‘total’ set at 31.5.
